Strategic Materials Capacity Program Manager- 117582

 

THE ROLE:

Your involvement will be substantial within AMD’s extended supply chain as the Strategic Materials Capacity Program Manager driving strategic capacity alignment of substrates and other direct materials.

 

Performing critical functions as the subject expert of the Global Operations Strategy team that is chartered to provide direction on supplier engagement for the long term needs of AMD’s roadmap.

 

Supporting the Global Operations Strategy team with respect to enablement of Capability, Capacity and Cost goals with a high degree of focus on Capacity enablement for substrates and other direct materials.

  • Proven track record of driving multi-functional team members with interpersonal skills to achieve mutually acceptable solution for any problem on hand.

 

  • Possess the sense of urgency to proactively implement creative but effective solutions with agility to timely deliver above and beyond expectations especially on multi-functional related issues.

 

  • Able to collaborate with others and be a leader within function

 

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, complexity and working under pressure with tight timelines and moving targets

 

  • Highly organized, detailed oriented, a self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, ability to multi-task in dynamic environment

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as Forecast communications point of contact to include quarterly distribution of supply to demand, annual supply alignment to available capacity, and long-range planning to ensure AMD’s growth expectations are supported.

 

  • Partnering with AMD’s Global Operations Procurement and Supply Chain Management teams to coordinate planning and forecasting requirements with suppliers.

 

  • Build partnership with key leaders in Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement and Engineering in support of strategic business partnerships with the Company’s third-party Substrate and other direct material providers.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in the semiconductor package/technology field
  • Experience in Substrate or similar Direct Materials Capacity Enablement role
  • Good communication, problem-solving, collaboration, interpersonal, and quantitative skills
  • Proficiency in using standard project tools (MS Office, MS Project, MS SharePoint, etc.)
  • Good English skills on reading, writing, speaking, and listening
  • Strong influencing and communication skills within a highly matrixed and multi-cultural organization
  • Experience in High-Tech substrate environment and strong analytical skills.
  • Capacity Analysis in support of High-Volume Manufacturing
  • Model development and maintenance for broad multi-functional use
  • Supply Chain Management (SCM)
  • Excellent knowledge of supplier relationship management
  • Experience working in an engineering or semiconductor company
  • Understanding of regional and global markets and cultures

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, statistics, engineering, or a related field
  • MBA
