AMD is searching for a dynamic, motivated self-starter, who is passionate about firmware, scripting, solving problems, and reaching goals. You will be joining the Server Platform team to learn and assist our development team deliver firmware.


  • Run basic acceptance tests to ensure firmware\UEFI meets release criteria.
  • Debug issues spanning hardware, firmware, and operating systems.
  • Assist infrastructure and optimization team streamline our development process.
  • Meet completion targets of deliverables.
  • Has accountability for results in a particular area of work.
  • Attend weekly meetings, status communication, presentations to the team.
  • Participate in peer code and architecture review processes.
  • Assist lead developers on large scale projects.
  • Write and/or contribute to documentation: specifications, status reports, communications.


  • A self-starter working in a team environment, a willingness to learn and see tasks completed.
  • Familiar with programming and scripting languages (C, C++, Python, Perl, Java)
  • Familiar with industry-standard software design patterns.
  • Familiar with Software Development Life Cycle methodologies.
  • Knowledge of x86/64 architecture and firmware/UEFI development is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of industry tools: Git, Polygerrit, Jenkins, Jira, etc. is a plus.

Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical, Computer, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
