Supply Chain Capacity Planner

THE ROLE:

Do you have intermediate-senior supply chain and/or industrial engineering experience, in a manufacturing environment (preferably semiconductor)? If so, then this may be an excellent career move for you. As a Supply Chain Capacity Planner, you will be very involved with NPI launch preparedness coordination, accuracy of capacity plans for NPI/Sustaining products, and cost/benefit analysis.

THE PERSON:

In this high visibility role, the Capacity Planner will be recognized as the specialist of his/ her product portfolio. You will drive best in class processes, reporting and communication on a global scale. You must be able to influence across functions & regions (Finance, Business Units, Engineering). You should be passionate about tight and changing priorities. You should have polished executive-level presentation skills, and ability to build, implement and sustain business processes. Also, sophisticated analytical and problem-solving skills are key to your success in this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze supply-demand matching, based on MRP system, to determine capacity disconnects and drive actions to improve capacities
  • Review all MRP inputs with functional owners to drive accountability and data accuracy (Yields, BOM, Capacity, etc.).
  • Engage with Business Units and Product Planning to understand changes to demands and supply commits and drive to attain capacity ahead of demand.
  • Work closely with Engineering to understand assumptions in capacity planning (Test times and yields) and articulate and update management on risks if plans are not achieved.
  • Articulate the difference between the demand plan (ship plan) and revenue plan (MOF). Drive discussion/ actions to close revenue commitment gaps by unit, and improve the overall health of the product(s).
  • Represent ISC and articulate supply and inventory plans at all meetings with key internal customers: PEO, Business Unit, and Production Control (PLPC). Examples: NPI Readiness/PM, Core Team, SCT, ISC Ops.
  • Work with Materials team in ensuring proper procurement of wafers and other raw materials
  • Meet with Central Planning to identify capacity disconnects and root cause for differences to actuals.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Product planning and/ or capacity planning experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
  • ROI / Cost Analysis experience is vital to the role.
  • Advanced experience and knowledge of: manufacturing, supply chain, inventory management, Excel, Power Point, SQL Database, Power Query, Power BI.

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

Bachelors degree (or above) in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or Math if helpful.
