<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Description
<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">• The product planner is responsible for the accuracy of the supply plan for their assigned area of responsibility. The product planner will focus on NPI launch preparedness coordination, accuracy of supply plan for NPI/Sustaining products, cost/benefit analysis, and tactical inventory management of their product(s).
 

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Responsibilities
<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">• Analyze supply-demand matching based on MRP (RapidResponse) run to determine root cause changes, shortages and surpluses, and identify and drive course corrections.
• Articulate the differences between demand plan (Supply Request) and revenue plan (MOF) and drive discussions on revenue commitment gaps by unit and the overall product health, etc.
• Coordinate with data management (GPDM) for new BOM creation based on new RIDV and Postprocessors
• Manage Aged Die Bank Inventory
• Represent ISC and articulate supply and inventory plans at all meetings with key internal customers: PEO, Business Unit, and Production Control (PLPC). Examples: Interlock, NPI Readiness/PM, Core Team, SCT, ISC Ops
• ISC project manager responsible for coordination of all actions necessary for product launch readiness (systems, data, supply plan, materials).
• Drive disposition of inactive / hold inventory and represent ISC in meetings with the business unit and finance teams (in coordination with strategic inventory planner)
• Recommend demand shaping to achieve business goals such as consumption of excess FUM or increasing margins
• Determine priority for which OPN to build for RapidResponse based on demand and BU input
• Recommend and enter DOI for die bank, safety stock for direct materials and FG based on business rules set by strategic inventory planner and specific product requirements. Review quarterly.
• Identify required demand mix for factory planner to execute to when managing the line and creating the GDF
• Meet with PEO/MRP/BU Teams to identify which parts we want to connect / disconnect in the BOMs
• Provide product intelligence on the reasons / actions needed for inventory forecast
• Review all RapidResponse inputs with functional owner to drive accountability and ensure accuracy as necessary (Yields, BOM, capacity, etc) ensuring that all current data is being used by the planning engine.
• Review any inventory for scrap in detail by product and prepare detailed information for disposition.
• Manage the Scenario Planning process and drive decisions on cost-benefit analysis, margins, serviceability, manufacturability, etc.
• Manage OPN Constraints to align release dates based on IP date and or manufacturing requirements.
• Owner of "The Supply Plan" for assigned product
Deliverables
• Create packets for NPI Readiness, Product Health and Roadmap Sync for EOL
• Analysis and root cause of supply plan changes week to week, mismatches
• Root cause and recommended dispositions for inventory forecast and financial close
• Socialization of product health and supply position including recommendations for risk mitigation and/or improvement
