System Engineering Program Manager - 78401

 

Critical technical program manager role leading the systems engineering core team, responsible for managing and driving the planning and execution for internal and customer client system solutions. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The System Engineering Program Manager owns planning and driving the execution of platform-solution engineering functions to enable best in class customer solutions.
  • Drives AMD product solution deliverables and alignment with customers’ platforms to ensure highest level customer satisfaction throughout their product lifecycle. 
  • Engage with technical leadership team to understand and document program scope, establish integrated schedules, assess and manage program progress and risk, and create resource and budget plans.
  • Represents the Client Systems Engineering organization in corporate and executive planning and execution forums.
  • Must be well-organized, technically-oriented, and a self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and coordinate the activities of geographically distributed technical teams.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Product development with hardware platforms and related software ecosystem. Specific experience in x86 solutions preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to grasp new technical concepts quickly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence horizontally across multiple internal functional organizations.
  • Excellent analytical, project planning, and management skills.
  • Proven ability to deliver large cross-functional strategic initiatives.
  • Quickly adapt to dynamic business and technical requirements
  • Business savvy; ability to think strategically and make intelligent technical vs business trade-off recommendations.
  • Skilled in interfacing with customers, partners and in managing joint-development projects. 
  • Energized by working in a fast-paced matrixed technical organization and multi-site environment

 

EDUCATION:

Bachelors or Master’s degree in Electronics/Computer Engineering or Computer Science preferred
