Systems Engineer Lab Technician - 85822

 

THE ROLE:

Become part of a team that is hands-on with the latest hardware across AMD's Client Computing and Graphics products supporting the lab functions of our system engineering teams. You will be responsible for inventory, lab set up & tear down, troubleshooting, soldering and will learn how to run measurements over time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Debug and troubleshooting system level issues before power measurement in a development environment and platform
  • The successful candidate will assume responsibility for post-silicon activities related to internal reference PCBs, and maintenance and changes to the same
  • The following is a list of key responsibilities that the candidate will assume:
  • Setting up test systems and power measurement equipment for automated and manual test framework.
  • Proactively driving continuous improvement for post-silicon power characterization and measure related procedures.  

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Multiple years of professional engineering/ technical experience Good understanding of computer architecture
  • Fine detail through hole and PCB soldering skills
  • Strong understanding of board layout and schematics
  • Power/thermal management experience is an asset
  • Extensive laboratory experience, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills and pronounced attention to detail
  • Must be a self-starter, and able to independently drive tasks to completion
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

2 Year Associates Degree in Electronics, Bachelor’s in Electrical or Computer Engineering a plus
