Job Description
 

Creates, defines, and develops system validation environments and test suites. Uses and applies emulation and platform level tools and techniques to ensure zero quality escapes. Responsible for the development of methodologies, execution of validation plans, and debug of failures. Requires broad understanding of multiple system areas and requires interfaces with Architecture, Design, and Pre-silicon Validation teams to improve post-silicon test content and provide feedback for future on-die debug and test features.

In this role responsibilities may include, although not limited to:

  • Leading and influencing in a senior system validation role.
  • Experience working in cross-functional team environment.
  • Architect and measure test plan quality, both pre-silicon working with design/platform teams and measuring quality post-silicon to improve coverage.
  • Perform as a program validation lead starting pre-silicon through post-silicon milestones.
  • Responsible for test planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting test results.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional HW and SW team to solve complex issues and improve efficiency.
  • Lead automation efforts to streamline test flows and maximize resource efficiencies.
  • Planning, execution, and overseeing system validation activities.
  • Willingness to demonstrate success in communicating plans, status, issues, concerns.

 

Qualifications:

Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree with 9+ years of experience or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.

6+ years of experience with:

  • Microprocessor and system post-silicon validation.
  • CPU micro-architecture and/or high speed bus protocol.
  • Debug skills and solving complex problems.
  • Translate CPU, chipset, graphics card, motherboard design specs to a robust system validation test plan.
  • AMD/Intel CPU, chipset, and graphics architecture
  • Python Scripting.
  • Test automation frameworks and methodology.
  • Windows, Linux, Chrome OS
  • Writing clear technical documentation.
  • Relevant technical knowledge.
  • Design, verification or validation disciplines, system/platform level debug and root cause isolation, methodology and tools.
  • Work with IC designers to build knowledge of design internals within the validation team. Mentoring and training for junior validation engineers.
  • Effective communication skills working across large multi-functional HW, SW, architecture teams. Provide feedback on board-level HW design requirements, and support ATE test and reliability test planning.
