The Americas Commercial Marketing Manager

 

THE ROLE:

The Americas Commercial Marketing Manager reports to the Americas Commercial Marketing Lead and is responsible for planning and activating strategic marketing programs for AMD’s top Partners and OEMs.  The Americas Commercial Marketing Manager is also responsible for maintaining open lines of communication between AMD Global Marketing, AMD Global OEM Marketing and AMD Regional Marketing teams in support of driving successful growth in server branded and commercial client devices.

The Americas Commercial Marketing Manager should have a willingness and ability to jump in, take the lead, learn, and inspire others. He/she will produce exceptional and impactful marketing work and will need to demonstrate drive, ambition and be self-motivated.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•              Plan and execute go-to-market (GTM) marketing plans with key partners for priority campaigns across branded server and client platforms

•              Serve as the marketing point person and client contact for defined key partners

•              Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams, and directly with partners and OEMs, to deliver marketing programs across various routes to market in the AMS region

•              Coordinate regional and centrally driven marketing programs in coordination with the Sales and Corporate Marketing teams

•              Educate partners on AMD marketing programs and brand guidelines

•              Develop schedules, track progress and provide quality assurance and control of projects

•              Take a proactive and positive approach in seeking ways to improve all aspects of our marketing activities

•              Collaboration with other organizations across AMD at both a corporate and regional level on product announcements and GTM plans

•              Manage forecasting and execution of sales and marketing programs

 

•              Work collectively and strategically with Americas Regional OEM Marketing teammate to execute OEM-dedicated programs with key NSPs and distribution partners

•              Develop schedules, track progress and provide quality assurance and control of projects

•              Produce debriefs on campaigns and quarterly incentive channel programs including delivering regular reports and ROI calculation

•              Take a proactive and positive approach in seeking ways to improve all aspects of our marketing activities and work seamlessly across multiple internal and external stakeholders

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Deep knowledge of PC and server hardware market
  • 5+ years of experience in a customer facing marketing role, with account marketing management experience a plus
  • Willingness and passion to travel a minimum of 25% to customer meetings and partner activity
  • Experience in B2B Marketing and partner facing marketing preferred
  • Experience with OEM and ISVs preferred
  • Project management experience working directly with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders with the ability to juggle deadlines and customer expectations
  • Exceptional time management skills, interpersonal skills & keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience
