Treasury Manager

THE ROLE:

As a Treasury Manager, you will build on your current skills to further develop expertise in Liquidity and Cash Planning in a fast paced Semiconductor industry. Furthermore, this role will give you great exposure to the CFO / Treasurer and other AMD executives

The person:

Ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with a keen analytical attitude, be detail oriented, strong drive for results and possesses strong problem-solving skills. The candidate must also have a deep understanding of financial concepts and US GAAP accounting principles

Liquidity Planning responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for key functions of company’s global cash & liquidity forecasting including management of working capital metrics related to accounts receivable, inventory and accounts payable
  • End to end ownership of Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement forecasting both for short term liquidity planning as well as for long range plans
  • Participate in the development and implementation of financial and operational plans to support AMD’s current and future liquidity needs
  • Partner with business units to align on working capital assumptions for cash flow models and manage the preparation of cash flow models
  • Engage with global credit and AP organizations on cash modeling inputs and drive cross functional operational improvements to minimize cash flow variance
  • Maintain close coordination and facilitate communications with key company partners (leadership team, regional finance teams, accounting, tax, legal, accounts receivables, accounts payables, payroll, credit)
  • Participate in Treasury initiatives on management of overall capital structure
  • Continuously optimize Working Capital to accomplish the target FCF and Cash balance
  • Effectively communicate liquidity forecasts and analyses to senior leadership team including CFO
  • Engage in external discussions with investment banks and industry peers regarding Treasury related activities to implement outstanding liquidity planning tools and practices

Compliance & Other responsibilities include:

  • Ensure compliance with internal and SOX control in all areas of responsibility
  • Find opportunities to incorporate efficiencies into Treasury operations
  • Conduct reviews and prepare foot notes for Treasury related SEC filings

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • MBA, or CFA preferred
  • 3+ years of Treasury experience required and 7+ years of overall industry experience
  • Strong understanding of financial documents and US GAAP accounting
  • Proficiency in Financial Modeling in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with executive presentation experience using Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal, critical thinking and internal/external customer service skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Experienced in managing multiple projects and tasks at one time and meeting challenging deadlines
  • Ability to work towards results in a multifaceted fast paced business environment with a desire to continuously improve existing processes
  • Ability to communicate priorities, deliverables, issues and results to management in timely manner
  • Experienced in working in a team environment
  • Broad knowledge and interest in financial markets and risk management practice
