Video Processing Engine Design Engineer

The Role:

The Display Controller team within the Radeon Technologies Group(RTG) is hiring a Design Engineer for the Video Processing Engine (VPE) team. The individual will deliver the micro-architecture for a new hardware IP, engineered to efficiently perform sophisticated color processing operations in low power conditions. He/she will evolve the IP architecture based on the roadmap requirements and technically guide a local team in the IP execution.

The Person:

This will be a phenomenal opportunity for a design architect to innovate on a color processing pipeline! You will be working with the top talents in the field of color processing. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in working with video/color processing designs and possess a keen interest in owning such architectures. He/she must have proven experience as an IP RTL designer and able to lead others in deliver a quality IP design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with other architects in defining the VPE architecture and design requirements
  • Deliver architecture specs
  • Technically lead team to deliver a high quality IP
  • Help to build team and cultivate team talents

Preferred Experience:

  • 12+ years of proven RTL experience on large ASIC development projects
  • Solid background working with video/color processing and memory to memory DMA engine designs
  • Proven experience in defining micro-architectures
  • A strong leader with experience working with a distributed team
  • Excellent written and communication skills

Academic Credentials:

Min. Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
