Branding Governance & Operations Specialist

 

THE ROLE:

Reporting into the Brand Governance + Operations, Program Manager, this position will support the business by working across departments and regions to elevate and drive stability for the AMD brand. This role involves working closely with the Brand and Regional Teams to ensure alignment, consistency, and efficient workflows and communications across creative projects to ensure assets created adhere to AMD branding guidelines. Flexibility of working style is encouraged since this role will partner with teams in different time zones. As such, it requires strength in people skills and communication, as two important parts of the job are building lasting collaborative relationships across WWM and synthesizing information into concise summaries that can drive fruitful discussion and timely decision-making. This role will support various brand-related projects and campaigns across WWM, focused around brand and branding governance.

 

THE PERSON:

The right person for this role is a process-driven, detail-oriented, hyper-organised professional who feels passionate about the bright future and growth trajectory of AMD. They must have an understanding that maintaining a clear, purposeful, and streamlined brand can facilitate market share capture and organizational expansion. They will have a sense of duty to ensure consistency and compliance of AMD branding, and enjoy working within a close-knit global team to amplify the benefits of a clear, efficient master-brand across all communication channels. This person will have excellent digital skills, a strong ability to comprehend and maintain momentum on multiple projects at once, and a brilliant capability for accurate and detailed communication with various stakeholders across projects. Enjoying maintaining and improving efficient digital workflow processes is essential. We’re looking for a smart, highly motivated person with an eye for creative and an interest in data analytics.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a vital support for AMD’s Brand team while the company navigates hypergrowth and increasing brand awareness, responsibilities will include:

  • Day-to-day support of AMD branding governance workstreams, maintaining systems and processes that promote and protect the master brand to improve global impact
  • Coordinate day-to-day operations and processes, facilitating approvals for global campaigns and providing clear, timely communications to appropriate stakeholders to facilitate project timelines
  • Promote AMD Brand strategy and drive adoption for technology enabling brand governance, e.g. dedicated Workfront Brand approval process, Templafy branding governance software system
  • Manage branding governance email and other relevant forums, appropriately problem-solving any queries that do not have an immediate answer and escalating as necessary
  • Support creation and upkeep of branding guidelines
  • Provide content support for branding trainings, both within AMD and for external partners, including creating materials for digital, self-serve trainings
  • Assist “process” workstream development with global creative agency, TBWA, and internal partners, i.e. administering agreed campaign creation process and communicating across teams
  • Build strong rapport with internal network, especially the internal Creative Studio, Regional marketing and financial compliance teams
  • Summarize progress, impact, plans, and any escalations in weekly reports to ensure comprehensive, always-on tracking against personal, team, and WWM goals and KPIs
  • Contribute to branding governance strategy and development, helping with presentations and to co-ordinate meetings
  • Be a strong AMD brand ambassador, assisting with brand-related communications where appropriate, regarding branding governance

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong (5+ years) project management experience, ideally related to brand governance, marketing, or advertising
  • Track record of exceptional project management and strong experience managing multiple projects at once, working with cross functional teams
  • Organized, happy to manage projects while working remotely, works well to deadlines
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with proven ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • Incredible attention to detail and adept eye for visual design
  • Ability to be self-motivated and accountable to goals, while being a collaborative member of a global Brand Team
  • Comfortable with virtual communication e.g. via Microsoft Teams
  • Team player who behaves compassionately, resourcefully, and with highest degree of integrity at all times

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • PM certification preferred
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft 365, Adobe suite, Workfront, and Smartsheets preferred
