Business Development Sr. Manager

 

THE ROLE:

The Business Development Sr. Manager will play a key leadership role in the CG Solutions Group, responsible for OEM design planning, account and portfolio strategy, OEM and retail/etail programs, marketing support, financial analysis, forecasting, and overall business development effort of Greater China Solutions opportunities. This role will work closely with AMD global account sales teams and AMD regional account teams as the Solutions expert communicating roadmaps, programs, business opportunities, and recommendations to AMD's top and high growth customers with a focus on the gaming market.

 

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate will be self-driven and passionate about the PC industry and gaming. She/he will have a combination of both technical and business background to influence design decisions with OEMs, and drive business and programs with OEMs and retailers/etailers. Developing relationships, effectively partnering cross functionally, and influencing others will be critical for success.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understand PC and gaming market trends and inflection points
  • Partner effectively across business units, marketing teams and sales teams
  • Win premium and innovative designs with AMD's GCs OEMs, LOEMs & whitebook partners
  • Work closely with product teams based in the US requiring frequent evening calls
  • Provide customer feedback and insights to product teams
  • Drive adoption of AMD solutions and technologies 
  • Develop end to end programs with key partners from design-in to sell-out of systems
  • Create a portfolio and target market strategy for AMD partners to grow AMD share and brand consideration
  • Identify new customers and market growth opportunities 
  • Serve as a product, technology and market expert to AMD customers
  • Support system sell-out unit and market share goals for Greater China and APJ regions

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 10 years of business development, technical sales, product management, or product marketing experience 
  • Minimum 8 years total industry experience
  • Working for and/or with Greater China PC OEMs, LOEMs, retailers, etailers or whitebook companies
  • Experience with PCs, CPUs, GPUs and/or other PC components
  • Market, portfolio, financial and strategic analysis of consumer and/or gaming markets
  • Strong presentation skills required
  • Presenting and influencing customers at SVP and VP levels
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English required

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or computer technology related field required
  • Masters in business preferred 

 

LOCATION:

Beijing preferred but other Greater China options possible
