This position is for a Director of Product Management in the Semi-Custom Business Unit. The Director of Product Management will play a critical role in supporting the team in the next phase of growth of that sub-business unit and takes responsibility for business development in data center among other new segments for SCBU.


As Director of Product Management , your primary functions will be: Business Development Assistance, Executive Alignment of Customer and AMD, High impact Program Management , Communications, and Strategic Analysis skills to ensure organizational alignment for new products in the pipeline.


  • As a team Identify and drive new business development opportunities for AMD in the data center
  • Set goal metrics for new business development, and take active contribution in that effort to take the business to the next step
  • Prepare letters of intent and other documents to support customer proposals
  • Partner with broader business development and product management teams around AMD to establish and manage relationships both internally and externally, forming strategic partnerships to support the business
  • Identify risks to the business and clearly communicate goals to executive stakeholders, ensure processes for projecting revenue and costs are consistent.
  • Research, prioritize, and follow-up on incoming issues addressed to senior executives, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature, working with Legal and Finance leads as needed to align to company quarterly goals.
  • Prepare updates and organize information for reports, correspondence, presentations, budgets for SCBU GM or SVP+ reviews. 
  • Keep executive management of business unit appraised in timely fashion of deviation vs. plans (financial, communication, technology).
  • Support executive management to develop technology partnerships and innovation in domains of cloud infrastructure and other new business verticals for SCBU


  • BS and/or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering from a top university or college.
  • Technical experience working with leading edge SOC IPs that make up high performance computing devices (CPU, GPU, Video Codec, high speed memory, machine learning, and virtualization). Demonstrated ability to learn about new technologies quickly, especially as it pertains to data center
  • Successful business and engineering experience in leading complex SOC products through the sales funnel – from identifying opportunities to winning deals that make it successfully to production.
  • 5+ years in business development with a technology company, closure of contractual terms and conditions, IP licensing terms for a high impact to the company
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to work quickly under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong grammar, spelling and proofreading.
  • Highly collaborative with ability to work with executives and stakeholders across all functions. Experience in working cross-functionally in a heavily matrixed organization.
  • Self-starter/entrepreneurial.
  • Proven ability to use discretion when working with confidential information.
  • Able to adapt to competing demands with the highest level of service and response.
  • Experience in internal and external C-level communications


  • MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in technical and business strategy for a top-20 silicon vendor
  • Experience in cloud solution sales required
  • Bellevue, WA AMD Site preferred
