The Role:

The Developer Driver team is a small team that provides a tooling platform for Radeon GPUs. Our technology helps power the AMD Radeon tools suite including Radeon Memory Visualizer, Radeon GPU Profiler and Radeon Developer Panel. The platform is rapidly expanding to better assist developers with their tool needs.

The Person:

We are looking for hardworking developers who thrive in a team environment and are excited to work with 3D graphics drivers along with related technology. Our team crafts new technology, transforms how the driver is developed, and works across team boundaries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Help develop new tools for developers and Radeon GPUs.
• Improve developer and driver engineering workflows
• Contribute to the development of new tooling with Rust and 3D graphics drivers with C++
• Work with emulated hardware
• Participate in code reviews
• Collaborate across teams and engineering subject areas inside and outside AMD

Preferred Experience:

• Excellent programming skills, low-level C/C++
• Rust experience is a huge plus, or willing to learn
• GPU and Game tooling usage or development
• Web-based micro services
• Knowledge of network protocols (UDP, TCP)
• 3D graphics or GPU compute
• Knowledge of PC architecture
• Graphics API experience

Academic Credentials:

• Degree in computer science/engineering or related discipline
