ASIC IP Program Manager - 107242
The Role:
Sr Program Manager for a Semi Custom Business Unit (SCBU) IP team. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for ensuring that new IP development program execution is successfully driven in line with the project(s) scope, schedule, and budget. You will be working with the IP Team Technical Leaders to ensure continual forward progress is maintained, status reporting is timely and accurate, and key issues are driven with appropriate urgency.
In this role, the candidate must have a strong understanding of IP design process as well as the general silicon engineering process, from concept to tape-out to production. In addition to working with the IP Team Technical Leaders, a key component of this role involves working closely with AMD and third-party IP suppliers, SOC teams spread across the globe and the architecture team. This is a cross-functional role that involves supporting IP Technical Leaders while engaging across all engineering and business units to meet project objectives. This position offers deep exposure to industry leading CPUs, Graphics, GPU Compute, Machine Learning, and related technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinating delivery on all IP program commitments from inception through execution
- Delivering IP to program(s) within POR schedule, budget and scope
- Acting as a key liaison between IP and SOC execution teams on all matters pertaining to successful project execution
- Driving incorporation of initiatives and process improvements at the functional, cross-functional, and corporate level into assigned program(s)
- Ownership of status reporting and issue messaging to key stakeholders, including senior executives, customers, and suppliers.
Preferred Experience:
- Minimum of 8+ years program management experience
- Ability to scope a program end to end
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly organized, able to prioritize, and juggle multiple work streams to tight deadlines
- Knowledge of processes for end-to-end IP and systems development
- Experience in managing complex, interrelated ASIC projects, programs, and functions; working knowledge across multiple engineering disciplines is highly desirable
- Experience managing 3rd party IP vendor deliveries
- Strong presentation, communication, and leadership skills; ability to lead technical discussions and up-level outcomes for executive-level status reporting
- Proven ability to multi-task effectively and manage competing priorities
- Ability to work in a large matrixed organization and achieve results via influence
