The Position

As an engineer on the Infinity Fabric verification team you join a dedicated team whose work has enabled AMD to put multiple SoCs to market in any given year. The ground-breaking Fabric IP verified by this team is flexible and scalable and supports multiple ASICs in parallel. This is your chance to be a part of this unique team!

When you join our verification team, you will take ownership and contribute in many ways including these areas:

  • Own the functional verification of a state-of-the-art industry leading Data Fabric IP for AMD’s CPUs and GPUs
  • Understand and verify the functionality of a given design element primarily within the context of the block as well as at the chip and overall system level.
  • Tackle carefully documenting and executing test plans consisting of directed and constrained-random tests to be run during simulation
  • Develop functional coverage and use feedback from code and functional coverage to enhance verification efforts


The Person

Ideally you bring the following qualifications to our team:


  • Master’s degree required with emphasis in Electrical Engineering, Computer architecture, or Computer Science with a focus on computer architecture


  • A bare minimum of 3 years of post-degree experience doing design verification of complex CPU/ASIC projects such that you demonstrate strong facility with:
    • Current verification methodology such as UVM
    • Object-Oriented Programming concepts (System Verilog or C++)
    • Computer architecture and data structures
  • Debug skills with ability to quickly and accurately root cause failures and make fixes
  • Developing UVM sequences, checkers, and monitors and using Perl, Ruby and Makefiles
  • Writing and closing functional coverage on complex functions


  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills and pronounced attention to details
  • Commitment to innovating as a team as shown through your comfort working across different geographies, excellent communication, knowledge of proper documentation techniques, and a track record of independently driving tasks to completion
