We are searching for a senior RTL engineer to help Memory PHY digital design team enhance development workflows and automate solutions to help improve quality and efficiency.  This is an exciting opportunity to be a member of the Memory IO design team responsible for defining, specifying, and implementing methodologies and processes to help our digital design team develop the next generation of differentiating high-speed LP and DDR IPs for AMD’s products.



The successful candidate will possess:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills along with attention to details
  • Must be a self-starter, able to drive tasks independently and efficiently to completion
  • Strong/effective communication skills
  • Enthusiastic team-first mentality
  • Ability to provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers
  • Relevant academic background (M. degree preferred) and at least 8 years’ progressive experience



  • Define, develop and support in house automation and infrastructure solutions with focus on frontend aspects of ASIC design flow.
  • Work with customers and interdisciplinary team leads to gather requirement and path find solutions with improve efficiency and quality of our in house IP as the main charter.
  • Review existing ecosystem and identify roadblocks and inefficiency with existing processes in place.
  • Build, test, monitor and maintain solid working environment deployed across IP projects.



  • Deep knowledge of one or more scripting languages such as python, Perl, Java or Ruby
  • Proven experience in digital design flows and tools
  • Ability to think critially and formulate solutions to problems in a clear, concise and timely manner
  • Experience in designs with multiple power domains
  • Experience in designs with multiple clock domains
  • Experience in industry standard ASIC CAD tools for simulation, synthesis, STA, CDC, power estimation, etc.
  • Experience in advanced semiconductor technologies, preferably FinFET
  • Senior level progressive experience in RTL Design



  • Relevant academic background (Master’s degree preferred)
