OVERVIEW:
The Graphics RTL development team is responsible for designing the next generation Graphics RDNA design(s) that feed into all client, discrete and APU products. The candidate will be involved in developing verification components on various IP design blocks on both current/next generation Graphics designs. The candidate will be engaged with both design and verification teams, as part of day-day work.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understand the architecture of the graphics IP and functional block being designed
- Influence and drive verification environment with a team of engineers
- Participate in the verification of a complex IP block, take ownership of some of the key features
- Debug functional/performance bugs within the graphics IP
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Completion of 3rd year of Electrical Engineering or Computer Science program preferred. MS and PhD candidates with or without prior industry co-op experience are welcome (all degrees must be related to CS or EE).
- Must have strong knowledge of C / C++ and Verilog / System Verilog.
- Shell scripting and Python for automation, data collection and data analysis
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of computer architecture
- Must have good English hearing, speaking, reading, and writing capabilities
- Must have good teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Must be a self-starter, and able to independently drive tasks to completion
- Understanding of graphics render pipeline is a plus
- Knowledge of UVM and constrained-random simulation is a plus
