AMD Datacentre division with offices in the Cambridge UK is on a rapid growth path and is seeking candidates at all experience levels in our product quality assurance teams. 

Successful candidates will be working on products at the leading edge of computer and network architecture.  Next generation products being developed target the phenomenal growth in data-rates, achieving designs with transaction rates in the billions per second per device, each device scaling out to every system in cloud datacentres.


Essential to product development is our AMD Datacentre division’s automated build and test systems, which provide continuous product validation, verification and releases.   A pivotal component to this is developer operations, which is responsible for owning, extending and managing this Continuous Integration infrastructure. The complexity of the products under development require infeeds from teams across AMD’s global teams, requiring coordination, dependency/ release management.  The role will require coming up to speed with the existing implementation, maintenance and implementing key improvements to increase efficiency and scale.  There is therefore significant opportunity to innovate and improve what the team has and for candidates to grow their technical and leadership skills.



  • We are seeking candidates who have 5+ years experience working in a DevOps capacity (a more senior role can be offered if a candidate has more experience). 
  • Candidates should have a Bachelors, Masters or PhD level in a Computer Science, Maths or Science based subject and have experience of working with relevant devops technology such as CI engines (Jenkins), Version Control systems (Git), Package managers, Artifact repositories (Artifactory), Automated test infrastructure, general linux system-admin, virtualization and orchestration (OpenStack, netboot/OS provisioning , Ansible). 
  • Candidates should have familiarity with databases and python (team’s main scripting language).  Good interpersonal communication is essential to work across functional teams.
