AMD Datacentre division with offices in the Cambridge UK is on a rapid growth path and is seeking candidates at all experience levels in our DevOps CI and Software Development-teams. Successful candidates will be working on products at the leading edge of computer and network architecture.  Next generation products being developed target the phenomenal growth in data-rates, achieving designs with transaction rates in the billions per second per device, each device scaling out to every system in cloud datacentres.

Essential to product development is our AMD Datacentre division’s automated test systems, which provide continuous product validation and verification, and which continuously produce huge datasets of information, that needs analysis and triage.  The role entails owning the continuous software testing pipelines and infrastructure, leading the first level analysis and triage of output data and implementing new tools to improve operational efficiency.  The role requires working across functional teams, with significant opportunity to learn about all aspects of the product design and lifecycle.  With rapid growth of the organization there is opportunity for personal growth and development.

 

Qualifications

  • We are seeking candidates who have 2+ years of experience working in software development, data-science/analytics or experience working in automated software quality-test settings (a more senior role can be offered if a candidate has more experience). 
  • Candidates should have a Bachelors, Masters or PhD level in a Computer Science, Maths or Science based subject and have experience of working in highly automated-software development environments and handling big complex data sets.    
  • Candidates should have familiarity with databases (understanding of SQL), working on Linux Operating system based systems, scripting languages (python or other). A grounding in statistics is also desirable. 
  • Key to success of this role will be strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, teamwork and good interpersonal communication
