Role:

As a Chief Engineer, you will be key technical leader for AMD dGPU product overseeing technical execution and success of Discrete GPU Products. You will drive cross-functional technical leadership for AMD’s discrete GPU products. You will foster deep partnerships with Product Definition and Project Management leaders jointly driving core team. You will also be hands on as you own the overall Product Spec to the Customer. This involves working very closely with AMD IP, SoC Design, Hardware (Board, Thermal Design), Power and Performance Attainment team, Foundry Technology, Product Engineering, Firmware, Software, Platform Validation and rest of the AMD teams that come together to meet the defined product specifications. You will make difficult technical decisions and guide team with trade-offs, be technical voice for the product, be in front of executives explaining technical issues and mitigation recommendations. You will work with Customer Engineering team as required helping them mitigate some of the customer issues/challenges working with broader Engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure dGPU product complies to specifications that you have aligned to working with Architects
• Ensure product meets business requirements including feature, power/performance, schedule, launch, customer enablement working with various functional teams
• Act as arbiter for key technical trade-offs and decisions

Preferred Experience:

• Minimum of 12 years of industry experience with Principal Technical Staff Member and/or Sr. Design management role or above in the semiconductor field
• Experience with software stack and hardware validation on complex systems - prefer gaming experience
• Demonstrated success in bringing complex computing systems to market
• Proven skills in feature integration, matrixed leadership and driving complex debug
• Experience in leading other domain specialists in driving solutions and system features
• Experience in Post-Silicon validation and Power/Performance
• Graphics processor experience a plus
• Ability to simplify a complex technical issue in an upleveled version to explain to business and executive teams
• Excellent communication skills

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
• Preferred track record of publications and/or patents
