This is an exciting opportunity to join the innovative and multi-award winning team that has developed the RF data converter sub-system, including direct-RF digital signal processing, around which Xilinx Zync® Ultrascale+™ RFSoC is built. As part of the Analog and Digital-RF design group you will be working on leading-edge digital communications developments in a complex mixed-signal environment using the latest 7nm and 16nm FinFET CMOS processes.

 

This role includes synthesis and static timing analysis of the digital designs being developed by our team.   The successful candidate will interface both with the RTL design teams and the place-and-route physical design teams, and will be responsible, in cooperation with those teams, for ensuring that the design meets the specified timing requirements.  Flow and constraints development will form a crucial part of this role.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience of synthesis
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of static timing analysis
  • Expertise with tools such as Synopsys Design Compiler and  PrimeTime
  • Deep knowledge and experience of timing constraints development
  • Knowledge of physical design flows (placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, ECO methodologies, etc.)
  • Excellent scripting skills
  • Good knowledge of RTL design
  •  

 

The following skills would be advantageous:

  • Experience of timing interfaces between digital and analog designs
  • Knowledge of power analysis
  • Experience of multi power-domain implementations and UPF
  • Place and route methodologies using tools such as Synopsys ICC2

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum education level / experience: BS + 6 years, MS + 5 years, PhD + 3 years
