Fellow, Client & Graphics Technology
THE ROLE:
AMD is seeking key technical talent that is focused on identifying new technologies and use cases that can be developed for our Client and Computing Graphics product roadmaps.
THE PERSON:
The technical leader will have experience working in the semiconductor market for Client and/or Graphics in technology identification, pathfinding, and incubation. He/she will have deep knowledge of the OEM / ODM ecosystems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work within the geographical region to identify technology and use cases that can be developed for Client and Computing Graphics (CG) products
- The technologies will span both hardware and software and will be sourced from academia, startups, established companies and ODM/OEM innovation labs.
- Researching technologies that could be an inflection point, a technology that could have significant impact on client and computing graphics products either design or use or both.
- Lead the development of POCs to aid in determining if a technology or use case is applicable to AMD’s Client and CG roadmaps.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Extensive experience in the semiconductor experience, particularly in relation to client computing devices (laptop, desktop, notebook/Chromebook, workstations, gaming) or graphics/GPU computing related.
- Experience in the identification and incubation of leading/inflection point technologies within the Client or Computing graphics area.
- Deep knowledge of OEM/ODM ecosystems.
- Adept at collaboration among top-thinkers and technology leaders across teams in different geographies.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred
