The Role:

As a Technical Manager on the LPAD (Low Power Advanced Development) Team, you will be responsible for Program Management of power management IP deliverables,  develop and manage the LPAD post-Si validation plan, resource management, first level people management, and responsible for the overall execution of program commitments.   This is a substantial role that touches on every chip that AMD produces and involving close interaction with Server, Client, Graphics and Semi-Custom teams.

 

The Person:

As an experienced engineering manager, you will work as a mentor and collaborator with all LPAD team members. We value a strong communicator who understands the importance of developing processes to independently drive tasks to completion, accurately, and on-time.  This team member will have technical understanding of platform power management techniques, experience in managing pre-Silicon and/or post-Silicon Platform teams, excel in operation management, people management skills, have creative problem-solving skills, high level attention to detail, and crisp, professional communication skills.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of technical post-Si bring-up and validation team
  • End-to-end program management of LPAD power features
  • Project goal planning, resource management, tracking, and status reporting
  • Efficiently deliver accurate ad hoc analysis, reporting, and projects on request
  • Provide insightful analytics through regular reporting to help drive the business and key goals

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Strong digital design and post-Silicon validation experience
  • Project tracking experience including data manipulation, analysis, and presentation
  • High Tech industry experience: semiconductor is highly desirable
  • High level of proficiency in MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

 

Academic Credentials:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or similar subject preferred
