Public Sector (SLED) Business Development Executive (NorthEast/MidAtlantic)- 73310


AMD is currently looking for a talented Business Development Executive to support our Public Sector End User, Channel Partner, and OEM relationships with organizations such as State and Local Government agencies, Higher Education institutions and K-12 School districts. In this highly visible role you will formulate your own business strategies, manage your own relationships and develop “Go to Market” strategies to drive sales of AMD client, server and graphic products.



  • Develop Public Sector end user relationships by representing AMD through direct end user engagement
  • Drive sales through account penetration, account planning and opportunity management with OEM and Reseller partners.
  • Leverage Business Development skills to increase Awareness Acceptance and Adoption at Public Sector accounts.
  • Assist in OEM and Partner Bid responses and setting of specifications
  • Help train OEM and Partner sales teams on messaging and value propositions
  • Consistently achieving assigned sales and share quotas per quarter per year.
  • Developing a solid pipeline of incremental volume deals with your target accounts.
  • Developing internal and external relationships within AMD and Industry to help achieve goals and quotas.
  • Base of operations will be Eastern time zone.
  • Target markets to focus on: State and Local Government, Higher Education and K-12.



  • 5 to 10 years of Sales and or Sales support  experience in Public Sector sales.  Demonstration of increased responsibility and or growth preferred
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal).
  • Business development/ sales experience preferably with acquisition contracts and programs.
  • Experience working with Public Sector OEM and channel partners executing “go to market” strategies.
  • Hunter mentality creating own leads and pipeline within targeted segment and territory.
  • Strong business and executive presence.
  • Analytical minded with the ability to look at data for forecasting, trending, and market strategies.
  • Up to 50% travel required at times for this role regionally.
  • Able to work independently with a proven track record of performance working remotely.
  • Track record of success and knowledge of the segment  
  • Experience with OEM relationships with partners like Dell, HP, Lenovo, etc



Bachelor's Degree preferred in related field but not mandatory.
