Our team is responsible for delivering PDKs, standard cell libraries, SRAM compilers, and other foundation IP that are used in all products that AMD designs. We are exposed to bleeding edge technologies that few in the company will ever hear off. We play a major role in shaping AMD’s roadmap and future products.

 

The role of the FTO Enablement Engineer is geared towards developing required IP EDA views, importing 3rd Party IP products and qualifying them with AMD POR design flows. In addition, the position includes exposure to IP cell design and electrical verification. On-site interface with 3rd party providers of IPs and PDKs is also required.

THE PERSON:

  • Good communication skills
  • Proficient in Verilog HDL, Synopsys liberty library, spice simulation, and ASIC design flow
  • Proficient in script programming, such as, TCL, Perl or C-shell languages
  • Well versed in Cadence design flow, including composers
  • Proficient in UNIX (Linux) platforms
  • Understanding of Physical Verification Flows including SAPR is an asset
  • Proficiency in integration and tech setup of Calibre tools

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Standard cell library characterization and build
  • Standard cell library quality assurance
  • Standard cell circuit evaluation for low-power or high-speed application
  • Library maintenance, including all kinds of representative format for all design flows and tools
  • SRAM compiler quality assurance
  • PDK component installation and quality assurance
  • Standard cell, SRAM, PDK program management and vendor interface

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Circuit experience at technologies below 28nm.
  • Proven experience working remotely and independently as part of a satellite team
  • SRAM design experience would be an asset
  • Experience in validation, integration, and user support of Calibre DRC, LVS, ERC, including expertise in debug of ESD, and Latch-up rules is an asset
  • Experience with DRC and LVS rule deck coding is an asset

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

Minimum Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Electrical/Electronics Engineering
