The Role:
RTG (Radeon Technology Group) Software QA is looking for a technical leader who will drive the QA activities of our imaging software drivers. As a QA Technical Lead, the candidate will be responsible of all technical aspects of delivering the best quality imaging software for our AMD products. This is an exciting role as you will have great exposure to all the latest technologies in the computer graphics industry – Imaging solutions, 3D Gaming, Display Technologies, Compute, Virtual Reality….you name it. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
•    Be accountable for imaging software releases; Lead and perform validation of imaging software running on Image Signal Processor/APU in Windows OS
•    Participate in software development cycle including design/code review; Define and implement validation strategies
•    Convert product and software specification into test content (manual and automated) and test coverage map for projects
•    Lead and build AMD test automation tools/infrastructure and deploy test farm (functional/certification) in the lab
•    Work closely with architecture teams to provide timely feedback and direction on various architectural design decisions
•    Work very closely with SW development teams, project managers and customer engineering to drive defects to closures.
•    Identify Quality metrics/improvement for various aspects of the software QA development cycle
•    Collaboration with international software and hardware teams to improve customer satisfaction and product quality
•    Communication with global teams via Audio/Video conference on regular basis
 
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
•    Industry experience of 7-10 years in software development/test techniques and methodologies
•    Strong knowledge of Windows or Linux software development/testing, experience on device driver or firmware development/testing is a plus
•    Prior experience in imaging solutions and use cases (ISP, camera device/architecture/API/algorithms, video capture/conferencing), or equivalent research experience would be a big asset
•    Good knowledge and hands on experience in PC configuration (both Software and Hardware) with methods of troubleshooting
•    Hands-on experience in programming/scripting skills would be a big asset; familiar with Python, VBA, C++, Selenium framework, ML/AI coding knowledge is a plus
•    Experience in leading teams on validation projects will be a big plus
•    Familiarity with requirement management tools, such as Jira and Confluence is an advantage
•    Good oral and written communication skills (Chinese and English) and able to work with local and global teams effectively
•    Possess good problem-solving, time management, and prioritization skills
•    Quick, self-starter and a good team player
 
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
•    Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent
