The Role: Display Power Manager-

Display Controller IP team within the Radeon Technologies Group (RTG) is looking for an IP manager to own the Display Management Unit which is responsible for the IP's primary control interface, security and power management.

The Person:

The candidate would manage a team of design and verification engineers in building sophisticated IP control interface and power management designs. He/she is also responsible for the overall IP power, driving IP optimization strategies and leading the team in analyzing and improving power. The candidate must possess strong technical skills and ideally has experience in management. He/she must be resourceful and be ready to support/coach team members technically.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver to quality and schedule commitments
  • Develop execution plans for IP development, track and report on project status
  • Lead power flow development and recommend power optimization strategies
  • Lead micro-architecture and design/verification efforts based on high level architectural requirements
  • Able to build complex systems to meet various design requirements including (but not limited to) functionality, performance, power, area, scalability and testability.
  • Build and manage a high-performance team

Preferred Experience:

  • Proven industry ASIC design work experience
  • Proficiency in advanced power tools
  • In depth knowledge of entire design process from design specification, defining architecture, micro-architecture, RTL design and functional verification, synthesis, timing, and formal verification
  • Proficiency of Verilog or SystemVerilog
  • Multi-clock domain design experience
  • Experience in IP development
  • Knowledge in video/display technologies is an asset

Academic Credentials: 

  • Bachelors, or  Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
