The diagnostics team is responsible for developing tests and suites that exercise and validate the hardware blocks in the graphics chips developed at AMD. We develop diagnostics and validate the latest IP innovations that power the ultimate visual and computing experience.

The successful candidate for this role will support our diagnostics team through test execution, debug and HW feature validation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute test cases defined in the test plans, summarize results and help drive issues to closure
  • Work with design, diagnostics, BIOS, driver, firmware, system engineering and platform teams to resolve dependency issues and isolate root cause of failures
  • Perform emulation and regression testing, support quality initiatives that improve diagnostics stability and reliability
  • Participate in APU/GPU/CPU silicon bring up

Skills and Experience: 

  • Bachelor in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
  • Silicon and/or system validation experience
  • Computer enthusiast with knowledge of PC technology and architecture
  • Linux (Ubuntu) OS working experience: install, setup, configure, troubleshoot
  • Proven system level debug experience and methodological approach to debugging issues
  • Experience with source control systems (git, svn)
  • C/C++ development and code debug experience
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and teamwork skills
