CSIM Model Development Engineer



The focus of this role is to architect, design, and implement the CSIM Models for AMD’s graphics processor IP.



  • An analytical thinker with problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Possesses excellent comprehension, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced, multi-project team environment using state of the art tools and technology



  • Collaborate with architects and hardware design engineers to understand the features to be implemented
  • Create design documentation, accounting for interactions with other features, the hardware, and the software driver
  • Estimate the time required to develop the new features and assess their impact on the performance of the system
  • CSIM Model development using C language programming
  • Verification and debugging test failures in both simulation, emulation, and silicon environments



  • Proficient in writing efficient CSIM Models in C language, including use of a source control system
  • Proficient in debugging CSIM, firmware and RTL code using simulation tools, including the ability to determine if the root cause of a failing test is the Firmware, hardware, or test
  • Experienced in RTL level ASIC design
  • Experience in Verilog, System Verilog, and working in the Windows and Linux environment


  • BS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • MS degree preferred
