Senior Automation and Robotics Engineer


Come help us develop and finetune our product development and engineering pipeline solution that makes sure AMD's platforms crush the competition! 


Our team designs and develops large scale product development, validation and delivery pipeline leveraging state of the art automation, AI/ML solution, and robotics technologies. Our toolset is utilized during all stages of product development across multiple AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) sites and includes AI (Artificial Intelligence) enabled validation systems, distributed automation processes, web applications and data stores to track millions of records generated by thousands of systems. We are constantly adapting our solution development processes to manage the challenges we accept.

We are looking for a robotic and automation engineer to design prototypes, build, test, and maintain a hardware and software system for validation automation. They also conduct research to find the most cost-efficient and safest process to manufacture their robotic systems. Leads the design and deployment of our automation projects supporting our team’s goals and initiatives. 


Key Responsibilities  

  • Working with stakeholders to understand business requirements 

  • Conducting research and analysis to create the concept of new products 

  • Research, analysis and designing systems and components that meet the needs and requirements 

  • Prototyping and evaluating the product to get into Production Ready State 

  • Working and collaborating with other engineers within and outside the organization 

  • Write technical and user documents for the product/system 

  • Proactively improving the existing product by making recommendations 

  • Planning milestones, project timelines and goals 


Preferred Experience and Skills  

  • Hands-on experience in Mechatronics engineering 

  • Previous experience in robotics 

  • Expertise in design and manufacturing prototypes using Software Design tools 

  • Experienced in design and building a fully automated machine 

  • Expertise in automation systems, small moving parts, image acquisition, and high precision robotics 

  • Creative and strong problem-solving skills are necessary 

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams 



  • Professional experience in Mechatronics Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering).
