                                                  Software Engineer: Advanced Technologies Group – Virtualization Technologies & Compute (Contract - 1year)




  • Build a world-class global solution for AMD’s next generation inference, low power GPU & compute solutions.
  • Own graphics & compute platform architectures to define, prototype, implement and deploy low power and high-performance rendering & compute solutions from a system holistic view
  • Develop end-to-end driver into surrounding operating system for both multimedia and safety critical systems
  • Work closely with virtualization teams to define and develop solutions for virtualized graphics and compute
  • Work closely with architecture teams to provide timely feedback & direction on various architectural design decisions
  • Optimize & implement OpenGL, Vulkan, OpenCL and possibly other standards
  • Determine and implement unit testing and system level testing strategies
  • Tune driver strategies based on performance and power consumption analysis




  • Graphics driver development on Android / Linux / Windows
  • Strong software design / engineering skills, C, C++, excellent debugging skills
  • Working knowledge of hypervisor technologies, e.g., KVM, Qemu, Xen, SR-IOV
  • Expert in relevant OS fundamentals that affect PPA - memory management, multithreading, locking, asynchronous event handling, etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of Android, Linux Graphics Systems
  • Khronos Graphics Standard organization working experience
  • Working knowledge of 2D/3D graphics APIs, OpenGL (OpenGL-ES), DX (9,10,11), Vulkan & OpenCL
  • Excellent communication skills, strong teamwork to join a global graphics organization focusing on optimizing current and next generation graphics solutions
