DGPU Performance Attainment Systems Engineer

Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead the evaluation, analysis and optimization of RTG IP’s performance used in AMD’s discrete graphics products
  • Provide hardware-engineering leadership during pre-silicon planning, post-silicon bring-up, product definition and product validation, and production ramp
  • Engaged in the pre-silicon and post-silicon phases of the design
  • Lead planning activities and developing test cases and methodologies to evaluate the performance of the IP’s
  • Develop pre-silicon models to predict and evaluate future designs
  • Be the link between design and physical silicon
  • Debug and analyze the performance of AMD’s IP’s in post-silicon using tools and benchmarks
  • Work with silicon architects and post-silicon evaluation teams to evaluate and tune the IP’s for optimal performance

 

Preferred Experience

 

  • Strong technical background in PC systems and graphics
  • Strong leadership, critical thinking, analytical and organizational skills are mandatory
  • Specific knowledge of computer architecture and workload analysis
  • VHDL/Verilog and C/C++ experience are assets
  • Familiarity with processor architectures are a must
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) are required for writing reports and e-mails and conducting meetings.    

Education

 

  • A B. Sc. Or Master’s Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering
  • Minimum 6 years of work experience
