Pre-Silicon Technical Program Manager

 

THE ROLE:

This Pre-Silicon Program Manager will be involved in all aspects of leading the next generation IPs from concept to silicon tapeout.  This teams focus is industry leading high-speed bus protocols (PCIe, SATA, USB, etc.)  You will have the opportunity to work with teams based in Markham/Vancouver Canada, Austin Texas, Belgrade Serbia and Shanghai China.  You will be accountable to drive schedules, resources, status, and cross functional alignment of engineering tasks.

 

In the planning phase, you will be leading planning activities and developing creative solutions and processes to meet aggressive pre-silicon schedules ask from SOC while working intimately with silicon design, silicon verification/emulation and firmware teams.

 

In the execution phase, using your pre-silicon development cycle knowledge, you will lead the broader IP design and verification teams to ensure that the project is meeting the schedules and quality committed to SOC teams

 

 

THE PERSON:

As a Technical Program Manager, you will have the ability to use your technical skills to manage broader teams and be the point person to ensure all the various quickly developing and sometimes competing priorities are in sync

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • In essence, you will be the link between various IP design teams and SOC team.
  • The role will be required to work closely with silicon design and verification engineers as well as participate in and/or lead interdisciplinary teams (SOC team, design, verification, firmware, Front End Integration, and Deployment).
  • Executive level communications on status and problem resolutions
  • You will also occasionally assist customer engineering to address customer design issues, as needed

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Work experience in the computer hardware industry with a focus on High Speed Digital Design and System Engineering.
  • Expertise in ASIC design flow, digital design, analog design, bus interfaces, silicon verification, silicon manufacturing and testing.
  • Program management experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge of PC Architecture and industry standard high-speed bus protocols (PCIe, SATA, USB, etc.).

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • B.A.Sc. in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
