Program Manager – Product Security

The Role

The AMD Product Security Office (PSO) is looking for an experienced program manager to own and drive to completion several security initiatives for multiple AMD products segments.

 

The Person

To be successful in this role, you must be passionate about cybersecurity and drive continuous innovation and features to evolve AMD’s Security technologies. You must have solid knowledge of technical program management, and an outstanding track record of delivering sophisticated cross-functional technology programs.

 

You are highly organized, able to prioritize and juggle multiple work streams to tight deadlines. You can structure and execute complex analysis, draw insights, and communicate summary findings/recommendations to senior management and AMD partners and customers.

 

You have exceptional communication skills and the ability to network, build relationships, and drive effective decision-making across multiple functions and levels within an organization.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute on vision, strategy, and roadmap for the AMD Security technologies
  • This position focuses on all aspects of the lifecycle of security technologies AMD delivers in different products, from pre-silicon planning and bring-up readiness to component builds, validation, and production release.
  • The successful candidate must also constantly look for risks in the project path, make plans for addressing them, and look for prevention methods to save on costs.
  • Strong technical program management of various teams, influencing and supervising the overall project workflow, and forging positive relationships with various teams within AMD.
  • The ability to establish and drive to goals including plan of record, statements of work, project/program timelines, budget, and scope.  Performance, and quality will be critical to success.
  • A passion for crafting plans and working with a team with varied strengths of development engineers, program managers and product managers is required for this highly visible role.
  • Being comfortable working with senior executives is a key requirement. You must address the various needs and requirements called upon from AMD's Engineering, Operations, and Legal teams.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills will be called upon frequently, especially in delivering streamlined, clear, and concise information to cross-functional stakeholders.

 

Preferred Experience

  • Proficient Project & Program Management experience in dynamic and competitive industry, particularly within Software Development or Engineering based organizations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexible working schedule to manage global program execution.
  • PMP certification is a great asset.
  • Agile development or certification is a bonus.
  • Familiarity with security technologies an asset.

 

Academic Credentials

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
