KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are currently looking for highly motivated and experienced individual who will be part of a small team  driving new RTG SOC methodologies initiatives. Those methodologies will benefit important company processes and technologies. A truly multidisciplinary function, working in close collaboration with key engineers across RTG SOC teams and other BU SOC and IP teams across AMD in  support of creating world class methodologies which benefit SOC architecture,  front-end designers, design-for-verification (DFV) engineers, design verification (DV) (functional  power and performance modeling/verification, a wide variety of internal and external design and verification development teams.

  • Drive RTG SOC Methodology innovation across  functional domains from SOC CHIPLETS/multi-cores architectural design/DV, DFV, through technical details with IPs
  • Generate and drive long term methodology initiative with high ROI and roadmap
  • Collaborate with cross-company engineering (GFX/Cores, IPs, Emulation, Validation/bringup, FW/SW) teams
  • Coordinate solutions to complex multi-discipline and multi-unit issues to advancing RTG SOC  and CHIPLETS
  • Participate/drive critical cross organization initiatives

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous track record of RTL design, and verification experience.
  • Deep knowledge of key protocols and architectures – AXI/ARM
  • Deep knowledge of AMD protocols and architectures is an asset
  • Solid understanding in the latest SOC methodology in DV, Design-for-verification, Machine Learning, HW/SW co-verification as example
  • Ability to handle ambiguity, and working cross functional domains across internal and external teams
  • Good verbal and written communications skills are necessary – requires continuous communication both internally and externally
  • Good knowledge of Industry trends & relationships with key area in  IP/SOC design& Verification
  • Strong interest in one or more of the latest methodology  areas
    • Application of Machine Learning/ Artificial Intelligence in SOC design and flows across all functions
    • Design-for-verification (DFV) methodology to improve  verification of chiplet/multicore SOC design  and bridge the gap between verification, emulation and bringup/validation
    • Shift left methodology HW/SW/FW co-verification/emulation Methodology

Academic Credentials:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Computer Engineering, MSEE preferred
