The Person:

The AMD Client platform compliance validation team is looking for a dynamic, energetic AMD Client USB Interface Compliance Validation to join our growing team focused on critical USB I/O PD interfaces compliance validation.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small talented post silicon focused team delivering a robust USB I/O interface compliance solution for new APU products.
  • Lead USB I/O PD interface compliance validation strategy from pre-silicon through customer adoption working across architecture, silicon design, firmware, validation, and debug teams
  • Proactively leading project planning, developing and maintaining schedules, managing dependencies, and ensuring quality of deliverables at committed milestones.
  • Drive debug and resolution of USB I/O PD interface compliance validation issues across silicon, firmware/BIOS, and coordinating with memory partners as needed
  • Generates/Maintains regular status representing the USB I/O PD Interface Compliance Validation team in program meetings providing status to program and senior management
  • Develop and lead USB I/O interface compliance validation process improvement initiatives including technical test plan development, quality, and efficiency improvements
  • Coaches and mentor staff

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Engineering technical leadership experience in I/O Interface Compliance Validation Domain especially in USB compliance validation.
  • PD Firmware knowledge and experience
  • Experience in compliance validation and debug of USB interface.
  • Engineering program, project or resource management experience is preferred.
  • Good written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate with a variety of engineering fields and management. 

 

Academic Credentials:

  • MSEE or BSEE with several years of experience
