The SOC RTG team develops leading edge discrete graphics SOCs. The team owns SOC execution and is actively engaged from architecture to production. Working as part of the SOC leadership team, candidates will gain knowledge in system and IP level design, SOC architecture and implementation strategies.


Engineers working in this field will gain low level knowledge and drive convergence in design efficiency and verification methodologies, ASIC clock and reset strategies, low power design techniques, IOs/PHYs and PLL operations, etc…


The qualified candidate will work as part of the SOC team as a chip lead reporting to the SOC director. The candidate will be responsible for:

  • Being the SOC Techincial lead and represetive interfacing with IP/SOC architecture, IP/SOC design, Performance, post Silicon and platform teams
  • Working with IP teams and SOC architects to define features, chip pervasive logic solutions and design/verfication requirements.
  • Interfacing with the SOC design and verification teams to drive implementation and overall design QoR
  • Primary SOC contact for complex problem resolution and forward looking design initiatives


Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Masters of Science Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering


Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • 10 or more years of ASIC design experience
  • Experience with RTL coding in Verilog
  • Experience with standard ASIC design tools (synthesis, simulation, equivalence checking, static timing analysis)
  • Thorough understanding of ASIC design flow
  • Strong knowledge of scripting, Linux/Unix environment
  • Strong knowledge of physical design (PD) and verification methodologies
  • Strong organization and multitasking, as well as problem solving and analytical skills are a must
  • Must be a self starter and able to independently drive tasks to completion
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
