Section Manager/Program Management

 

The Role:

The Display Controller team within the Radeon Technologies Group(RTG) is looking for an individual to participate in the design verification of the Display IP.

 

The Person:

The candidate would lead a team of design verification engineers, working directly with architects, RTL leads and IP owners to understand and verify the functionality of the design within the context of an SOC. The candidate would be responsible for carefully scoping the resource requirements and working with the team on development, execution and mentoring as required.   The candidate would be expected to adopt evolving modern verification methodologies used in the industry to functionally verify increasingly complex IP designs within the context of an SOC design to meet aggressive, market-driven schedules. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand the functional and performance requirements of the Display IP within an APU and dGPU SOC
  • Assume technical leadership and hands-on development tasks
  • Scope requirements and resources to meet demanding project schedules
  • Leadership of a small team of engineers
  • Create, reuse and debug test cases and test bench components for IP and SOC consumption
  • Integration and codeline management
  • Compose test and coverage plan to ensure functional completeness
  • Signoff IP quality for delivery into SOC
  • Effectively communicate with multi-disciplined teams located across the globe

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Min 10+ year(s) of proven verification experience on large ASIC development projects or equivalent embedded programming experience with a deep understanding of hardware architecture
  • Very strong background in Verilog, System Verilog, C/C++/OOO coding techniques
  • Strong experience working with Cadence NCSIM, Synopsys VCS or equivalent
  • Strong Experience working with UVM, OVM or equivalent
  • Experience with scripting languages, Ruby/Python/Tcl/BASH/etc.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Must be a self-starter, and able to independently drive tasks to completion.
  • Team player with proven leadership skills

 

Education:

  • Min. Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
