Senior Software Engineer or Technical Leader - 3D Graphics Tools - 133661


The Role:

The Software Tools Team develops multiple test applications to ensure AMD’s video driver quality for state-of-art video games and 3D applications. Our applications aim at groundbreaking technologies of 3D Computer Graphics, Image Processing and Machine Learning. Currently, we are looking for an experienced Software Engineer (a senior developer or a technical leader) with proven strong C++ programming experience, solid knowledge of 3D graphics (e.g., DirectX 12, Vulkan, …) and/or Image Processing.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and support multiple software tools (e.g., Direct3D API capture tool, image processing and scaling tool, etc.)
  • Work in a fast-paced industry with responsibilities for timely delivery
  • Participate in an Agile software development process
  • Adhere to team’s coding standards and participating in code reviews
  • Write detailed design documents and user guides
  • Perform unit testing and release testing
  • Provide periodic status updates and occasional presentations


Preferred Experience:

  • Experienced in developing Direct3D 12 or Vulkan games or engines
  • Knowledge of Direct3D 12 compute shaders and/or Digital Image Processing
  • Strong C++ programming experience with large code base
  • Skilled in system-level coding and debugging with Visual Studio and gdb
  • Experienced with multiple Operating Systems (Windows, Linux and/or Android)
  • Experienced with developing inside Git or Github source control systems
  • Ability to organize and manage priorities
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Works effectively both independently and in a team environment


Academic Credentials:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science
