THE ROLE:

This Post-Silicon Program Manager will be involved in all aspects of productizing the next generation IPs from pre-silicon planning to production ramp.  This teams focus is industry leading high-speed bus protocols (PCIe, SATA, USB, etc.)  You will have the opportunity to work with teams based in Markham Canada, Austin Texas, Belgrade Serbia and Shanghai China.  You will be accountable to drive schedules, resources, status, and cross-functional alignment of engineering tasks.

In the pre-silicon phase, you will be leading planning activities and developing creative solutions and processes to meet aggressive post-silicon schedules while working intimately with silicon design engineers and platform design engineers.

In the post-silicon phase, using your pre-silicon knowledge, you will lead systems engineering and silicon design teams through the various phases of bring-up, product definition, product validation and production ramp while assisting in debugging hardware issues.

THE PERSON:

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will have the ability manager or transition their career from Engineer to Program Manager while still keeping the technical chops up in the lab.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • In essence, you will be the link between IP design and physical silicon.
  • The role will be required to work closely with silicon design engineers as well as participate in and/or lead interdisciplinary teams (hardware, software, program management, customer engineering, operations, marketing and sales).

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Work experience in the computer hardware industry with a focus on High Speed Digital Design, System Engineering or Applications/Customer Engineering.
  • Expertise in digital design, analog design, laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.), debugging motherboards, memory interfaces, bus interfaces, silicon manufacturing and testing, silicon verification, failure analysis, and application engineering.
  • Program management experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge of PC Architecture and industry standard high-speed bus protocols (PCIe, SATA, USB, etc.).

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • B.A.Sc. in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
