THE ROLE:

As part of the SoC (System-on-Chip) DFX team you will be involved in timing analysis for state-of-the-art design-for-test and design-for-debug features in complex AMD products. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of static timing analysis including development of timing flow, executing timing analysis, writing constraints, and working with the design and physical design teams to achieve timing closure.

 

THE PERSON:

  • Should have strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail
  • Good communication skills to be able to accurately describe issues and follow through on their resolution

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working with design teams to understand, write, and debug constraints
  • Working with Physical Design teams to achieve timing closure
  • Able to develop and modify scripts to enhance analysis
  • Knowledge of timing corners/modes (such as scan shift, scan capture, at-speed and BIST testing), process variations and signal integrity related issues

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Familiar with timing of large high performance SoC designs in sub-micron technologies.
  • Familiar in STA and standards for timing closure and have an understanding of noise, cross-talk, leakage and OCV effects, etc.
  • Strong programming skills with Perl, TCL.
  • Knowledge and expertise in scan architecture, 1500 or 1687 compliant designs, DFT clocking, BIST including logic, memories and high speed IOs.

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
