The Display Controller team within the Radeon Technologies Group (RTG) is looking for an new grad to join the IP deployment support team.   As one of the major IP blocks with AMD, the Display Controller IP is delivered into leading edge discrete GPU, APU and semi-custom SOC programs who's execution teams spans the globe.   As a member of the IP team, the candidate would work with block leads and SOC team members to participate in the program level planning and delivery of the IP to the downstream SOC customers, closing both the design(RTL quality, power, synthesis and physical design) and design verification(test planning, debug, coverage closure and tool alignment) aspects of the delivery.   As a new grad, many of these skills will be developed over multiple project generations.

  • Provide design support to SOC team members to close on RTL functionality, synthesis, CDC, LINT, physical design, power and performance closure within the SOC environment.
  • Provide design verification support to SOC team members around test planning, development, execution, debug, verification infrastructure, coverage closure and tool alignments.
  • Codeline management
  • Weekly status reporting
  • Continual IP/SOC delivery process improvements




  • Co-op/Internship demonstrating either design or verification experience on large ASIC development projects
  • Very strong background in C/C++/OOO coding techniques
  • Very strong experience with Verilog and/or System Verilog
  • Experience working with Cadence NCSIM, Synopsys VCS or equivalent
  • Experience working with UVM, OVM or equivalent
  • Experience working with synthesis, CDC and LINTING tools
  • Experience with scripting languages, Ruby/Python/Tcl/BASH/etc.
  • Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating systems and debug tools




  • Min. Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
