THE ROLE:

Radeon Technologies Group's SOC Physical Design Methodology team is seeking an ASIC Physical Design Engineer to develop techniques and integrate design flows for next generation graphics products.

 

THE PERSON:

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

Strong communication, time management and presentation skills

Desire to innovate and find solutions in a fast-paced design environment

Excellent knowledge in VLSI designs and challenges

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performing ASIC physical design tasks in latest FinFET technologies: Floorplanning, Synthesis, Optimization, Clock Tree Synthesis, Static Timing Analysis, IR drop analysis, Physical Verification

Resolving design flow issues

Customizing and implementing solutions for new challenges

Performing data analysis and finding new approaches to improve design efficiency and quality

Collaborating with multi-site engineering teams to deliver most sophisticated products in leading edge technologies

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Strong background in digital logic, IC engineering, silicon layout designs

Experience in place and route tools from Synopsys, Cadence and Mentor Graphics

Experience in scripting and programming languages such as C, Perl, Python, Tcl, etc.

Verilog language skill is a plus

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

Bachelor/Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering
