AMD Machine Learning software team is looking to hire a world class Linux developer. The engineer will be responsible for the design and development of open source tools for GPU centric data centers. The engineer will have the opportunity to tackle interesting and challenging problems working with open technology stacks like ROCm. They will interact closely with key AMD technical experts to ensure the best possible results and performance on AMD platforms.



An ideal candidate should demonstrate flexibility, strong motivation, and ability to work as part of a team.



  • Ability to solve critical system/software issues.
  • Must work independently and be self-motivated.
  • Must be eager to learn new and emerging technologies and ramp up quickly.
  • Must have basic understanding of software development process.
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills.
  • Should be flexible to work with on-site and offshore teams.
  • Open source technology requires to engage and work with open source communities.



  • Strong programming skills, especially in C/C++
  • Scripting language (Python, Perl, Shell Scripting) knowledge is desired
  • Experience in developing projects in UNIX/Linux environment
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle, SW practices including debug, test, revision control, documentation, and bug tracking
  • Proven interpersonal skill, technical leadership and teamwork required
  • Ability to work independently



  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related subjects, or equivalent experience.
