The successful candidate will assume responsibility for post-silicon activities related to performance and power characterization, optimization and validation of pre-production CPU/GPU products.

 

The following is a list of key responsibilities that the candidate will assume:
• Executing post-silicon characterization and optimization of power and performance features
• Developing test plans, methodologies and tools to support post-Si activities
• Debugging and troubleshooting system-level issues that may occur in test environments and platforms
• Proactively driving continuous improvement for post-silicon power and performance activities
• Participating in the product definition process
• Prototype FW power management features for future chips by implementing them on existing products and studying their effectiveness 

Skillset:
• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Electronics/Computer Engineering or Computer Science with emphasis on computer architecture and workload analysis 
• Ability to program in C, C++, assembly and scripting languages
• Familiarity with x86 and ARM computer architecture
• Experience with software and/or hardware debug tools
• Experience with computer simulations
• Good understanding of PC system architecture, operating systems, drivers, ACPI and BIOS
• Experience with performance/power/thermal measurement and instrumentation
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Pronounced attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
