As a key member of the Software Quality Assurance team, you will perform key tasks in the software QA lifecycle, which includes:
 

  • Develop and drive execution of a comprehensive, highly effective test strategy for complex new technology and new product introduction projects
  • Interact and coordinate with software QA teams on related activities across multiple sites
  • Interface with customers on software requirements and coverage 
  • Validate new products/new SW features before releasing to customers
  • Work closely with development team to debug and triage software issues
  • Optimization of coverage and execution through content/process automation. 

 
Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent degree plus 4-5 years relevant hands-on experience in high tech industry working in software development, software QA or test automation
  • Demonstrated work on Windows and Linux operating systems; Android knowledge an asset
  • Strong software development, programming, debugging and test automation knowledge; demonstrated understanding of SW QA process & methodology
  • Hands-on experience in scripting languages (Perl, sh, Python, C#, JavaScript, etc)
  • Demonstrated understanding of PC Platform Architecture, with hands-on experience in assembling PCs from components, set-up, configuration
  • Strong knowledge of, or interest in PC Graphics(Computer displays, HDTV, VR), on-line and off-line multimedia content streaming/playback, file transcoding, 3D graphics concepts, DirectX and / or OpenGL, 3D/VR gaming, and game engine technologies
  • Familiar with aspects of product development, such as lifecycles, software process methodology and product deployment
  • Self-starter able to achieve successful outcomes in a non-hierarchical environment, with minimal supervision or direction
  • Ability to effectively debug and troubleshoot drivers/software code
  • Detailed oriented; ability to multitask through planning/organizing
  • In-depth knowledge of Relational Database administration, SQL would be an asset
  • Detailed oriented; ability to multitask through planning/organizing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills
