AMD Canada is searching for an energetic, detail oriented, and upbeat University Program Events and Communication Coordinator to support the Canadian student co-op program and take it to the next level! You will be working with the Canada University Relations Program Management team to support and coordinate events, communications, promotions, and partnerships.



The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, will have excellent presentation skills and maturity to represent AMD at internal and external events, and will have strong communications and stakeholder management skills.   • Develop, coordinate, and attend virtual, hybrid, and in-person campus recruitment and internal student events
  • Build calendar of events that aligns with AMD’s diversity and inclusion goals and objectives
  • Lead communication/liaising with relevant internal and external stakeholders
  • Track metrics and key measurables for events and initiatives
  • Foster relationships with core Canada based universities, student groups, and external organizations
  • Assist Program Managers with administrative recruitment duties such as communications with candidates, tracking and reporting status updates, offer letter processing and more
  • Elevate AMD’s brand through strategic use of social media and other marketing tools, and actively engage in creating content
  • Plan and deliver positive new employee orientation experiences
  • Handle partnership agreements, sponsorship invoices, and budget updates
  • Increase the Co-op to new-grad conversion rates and ROI for AMD
  • Local travel & adjusted work hours will be required during peak periods



  • Experience supporting and leading virtual, hybrid, and in-person events and initiatives from start to finish
  • Experience with multi-stakeholder management and communication
  • Strong presentation, group facilitation, relationship building and community engagement skills
  • Prior technical experience with event registration and engagement platforms
  • Proven operational, organizational and project management skills
  • Understanding of social media advertising and marketing for the student demographic
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain positive cross-functional relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a complex, matrix organization
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team, manage conflict, and build trust
  • Bonus: Experience in University Relations and/or Talent Acquisition
  • Bonus: Experience in a high-tech organization
  • Bonus: Technically competent in the use of Applicant Tracking Systems and sourcing tools



  • Background in Human Resources, Student Services, and/or Event Planning are desired
