Senior Level Systems Integration Engineer



The Datacenter Graphics and Accelerated Computing Validation Team is looking for a dynamic and energetic validation engineer to join our growing systems integration validation team. As a key contributor to the success of AMD’s IP, you will be part of a leading team to drive and enhance AMD’s abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies used for Datacenter, Machine Learning, and High-Performance Computing. The team fosters and encourages continuous technical innovation to showcase successes as well as facilitate continuous career development.



A self-starter with the ability to create and execute complex test plans independently, lead a team of junior engineers and collaborate with others to resolve problems found. You will have guidance from seasoned engineers familiar with the role and should feel comfortable working in a lab environment.




As a systems integration engineer, you will drive the planning, validation, and debug of various hardware and software components of SoC for upcoming AMD products, while working with Silicon/IP design teams, key architects, software team and other validation team members. Your primary focus will be integrating features and components from various AMD IPs and validating features end-to-end with a system-level view in mind.


Responsibilities include:

  • Define and execute end-to-end test plan and validation strategy for a group of AMD IPs
  • Debug issues found during pre-silicon, bring-up, validation, and production phases of SOC programs
  • Lead collaborative test approach with multiple teams, and tracking test execution to make sure all features are validated and optimized on time
  • Develop knowledge of system architecture, technical debug, and validation strategy
  • Drive technical innovation to enhance AMD’s capabilities in IP validation including tools and script development, technical and procedural methodology enhancement, and various internal and cross-functional technical initiatives
  • Work closely with supporting teams in design, diagnostics, emulation, firmware, and software to ensure readiness for first silicon arrival, enablement of IP functionality, and debug of critical features
  • Support on customer platforms as requested by customer support teams


Preferred Experience

  • ​​​​​System level validation and debug in post-silicon environment is a must
  • Strong programming and scripting skills (Python, C/C++, Ruby, Perl)
  • ASIC debug techniques and methodologies
  • Board and platform level debug, including clock/power delivery, sequencing, analysis, and optimization
  • Digital logic/platform design and verification an asset
  • Physical and protocol levels of common high speed interfaces an asset
  • Computer hardware and architecture (experience with datacenter servers a plus)
  • Common lab equipment, including protocol/logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills for test development and debug
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Must excel in a dynamic team working environment
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to independently drive tasks to completion
  • Must have leadership and mentoring skills
  • Graphics experience a plus



  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent
