Director, Software Engineering - Core Technology Group - 160466

THE ROLE:
The Core Technology Group (CTG) is part of the AMD Game Engineering organization. It is a dedicated team of software engineers who are looking to build a strong ecosystem of technology for game development ISVs, middleware vendors and selected partner ecosystems. The team’s responsibilities include the research and development of the FidelityFX SDK, forward-looking solutions for real-time renderer architecture, Unreal Engine technologies, and innovative raytracing solutions. This is a high visibility role and a key position within AMD involved in building rendering technologies of the future.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with the group’s technical director to drive CTG’s software ecosystem vision, strategy, and execution.
  • Build the organization and supporting processes.
  • Create, maintain and communicate software roadmaps to internal and external parties.
  • Collaborate with hardware, software engineering and ecosystem engineering teams to support technical execution.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrated software product management in a technology company
  • Strong understanding of the gaming market and associated software stack
  • Strong hands-on software development experience
  • Experience of DirectX 12, Vulkan or equivalent graphics APIs.
  • Experience with working on several simultaneous projects and taking them from definition to delivery and adoption
  • Effective program management skills to collaborate with and lead large groups of stakeholders across a diverse range of projects
  • Unreal Engine and/or console experience is a plus.

 

ACADEMIC  CREDITIALS:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or computer technology, Masters preferred
